Parklands Hotel - Ogbourne Saint George

The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly. the service was fantastic. Our double room came equipped with an iron and ironing board, a coffee/tea maker, and a work desk. the bed was extra large, and the bath worked well.

This place had a wonderfully convenient location, just a short 5-minute stroll from the city center, making it an ideal base for my stay.

The hotel proprietors were freindly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent accomodations: Clean room, comfortable bed, great water pressure and warm shower. Clean lounge. Friendly atmosphere. Location is near the Ridgeway and easy to get to from trail and highway. Great value for the money.

Menu seemed a little pricey, but the taste and quality of the food justifies the price. This chef can really make a great meal, whether you're eating in the restuarant or getting a sack lunch for the road. Again -- it may cost a couple pounds more than a pub, but the meal is really worth it.

Comfortable room, very clean. Excellent breakfast with food from local suppliers. I suspect the evening meals are good too, though we did not have the opportunity to sample them. Staff are very friendly. Good value for money.

It was a lovely small hotel with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. They have a restaurant on site, which does amazing meals. The rooms were well kept and comfortable.

The stay here was really nice for an Avebury visit. the location was lovely for exploring the area. - the hotel is just off the Ridgway long-distance footpath. - the nearby "Pub with a Well" was a great spot to visit. - Ogbourne Downs Golf Club is just a pleasant stroll away.

The rooms turned out to be high-class and lovely with a new shower as well as a coffee. The food was brilliant with a wide array of choice! The location was peaceful, right by Ogbourne Downs Golf Club.

Very friendly and welcoming owners, helpful and chatty. Food was excellent, decor was of a high quality, shower was good, bed was very comfortable.

The bed had blankets on it rather than a duvet, which would have been preferable to us. But this is a minor point only...

Very welcoming and friendly, and I would certainly stay here again if I am ever in the area.

The rooms were lovely and we enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast.

Accomodating and very friendly staff. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Although we were late the staff were happy to wait for us to arrive and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed a second night as we were so impressed.
